Earlier today I’ve posted about the new CDJ Style player from Newmark, the NDX900 Controller which they’ll present at this year’s NAMM, and a couple of minutes ago, I’ve just got a Press Release for another new product they’ll release. It’s called MixDeck Express, and it’s a full-featured DJ-system, with mixer, 2 CD-decks, DJ Software, and USB capability.
It seems to me that most manufacturers finally saw that things are going digital, and they need to crank it up a notch (or two!). In my opinion, this is great, as long as they’re making quality hardware. And I’m saying that because a friend of mine purchased a American Audio VMS Console (I know what you’re thinking…), and I have to tell you I was disappointed with the quality of the product. The buttons were flappy, the jog-wheels were not centered properly, and the paint started to fade after a few weeks.
