New Korg Nano Series – NANO 2

Korg announced renewal of their Nano Series. In their redesigned housing, the three ultra-compact laptop companions are now dubbed Nano Series 2. Like their predecessors each of the low-profile units is easy to stack away somewhere in your laptop bag, and is designed to fit perfectly in any laptop setup. A keybord, a trigger pad and a fader controller.

The NanoKey2 combines the great-feeling “touch” that Korg has developed for its professional MIDI keyboards and the low-profile “thinness” of recent computer keyboard innovations. Despite its miniature size it is designed with ample key width and space between

the keys, reducing the chances of a wrong note. With its short stroke key action, the NanoKey2 offers the best possible response for its class and size.

The NanoPad2 isn’t only compact and lightweight but also packs 16 dynamic-sensing pads, while leaving room for the X-Y touchpad. The sixteen velocity-sensitive pads ensure that your drum parts will be full of life. By switching between the four scenes, you can experience 64 different pad assignments. The X-Y pad can be used to control multiple synthesizer parameters. In addition, the new “Touch Scale” function lets you intuitively play phrases, just as on the Kaossilator.

The NanoKontrol2 provides a knob, fader, and three switches for each of its eight channels, respectively assigned to pan, volume, and solo/mute/record. There’s also a marker button, making it easy to assign marks at important points in your song for more efficient recording and song production.

All Korg Nano 2 units work with the “Korg Kontrol Editor” software to make detailed customized settings and are available in black or white.
